As your doula I will offer non judgemental emotional and physical support. I won't provide any medical advise and care. 

Below is a rough idea what you can expect from me before, during and after the birth. I understand that your needs needs and choices might differ to another family, therefore it all can be discussed if we decide to work together.

While you are pregnant

  • I will visit you at least 2-3 times to get to know you and your partner if he/she will be present during your birth.

  • We will discuss your birth preferences.

  • I will show you how to work with pain in labour rather against it (movement, birthing positions, breathing techniques, aromatherapy, massage) 

  • I will signpost you to the relevant evidence, antenatal groups, lend you books. 

  • If you plan to give birth at home - help to source the pool.

  • You will be able to reach me on the phone with unlimited texts, calls, emails.

During birth

  • I will be on call 24/7 from 38 weeks of your pregnancy until you give birth.

  • I won't leave leave until you give birth and settled with your baby.

  • I will support you emotionally and physically during your birth (massage, gentle touch, aromatherapy oils).

  • I will hold your birth space making sure that the environment is calm and safe.

  • I will make sure your partner gets a break. and is supported as well.

After your birth

  • I will visit you few times postnatally bringing you a homecooked nutritious meal and some baking.

  • I can help with house chores or any other support what you think might be beneficial. 

  • I can help with breastfeeding positions and baby-wearing.

  • I will give you space to debrief your birth.

  • I will provide support up to 6 weeks by text/call.
