Hi! I am Ugnė,

 

I'm a trained birth doula based in Edinburgh and a mother of three children.

 

I learned a lot from my births, especially from the last unassisted homebirth with my son. It taught me how beautifully woman's body can birth the baby in an undisturbed, safe environment, surrounded only by people that she truly trusts.

 I was supported by the same wonderful doula during my three births and really believe that having continuous care and someone you could trust makes a huge difference to your birth experience.

 

  My experiences sparkled a fire inside me and I felt a calling to serve other families. I wanted women to know that they can choose their birth and trust their bodies. My doula journey began after completing the course with Conscious Birthing in 2022. I also became a member of Scottish Doula Network  through which I receive mentorship, support, friendship and lots of wisdom. 

 

Originally, I come from Lithuania but Edinburgh has been my home over a decade now. You can always find me in the kitchen cooking feasts for my family, baking sourdough or running after my kids. I love being outdoors, growing veg, foraging and reading books.
